King for a lifetime, fool for a... lifetime...

Both the song and the film, but more so the film which I suffered through tonight for the very first (and last) time. A dead boring 90 minutes with a band that never pretends to be actors. I realize this movie was made in keeping with some of the campiness of the 60s, but fuck, it does not hold up. Nay, it irritates. Anyway, the only thing that could possibly be worse is if some has-been bunch of clowns with maybe a fraction of the charm and talent that The Beatles had -- a group, say, like KISS -- decide that they can pull off this "Hard Day's..." nonsense off. Oh wait, that's happening...

I will now peel off my skin with rusty razors and light myself on fire.
